Second Annual Exhibit—[FRAMED]: A Unit 4 Student Artist Expo
Adams Outdoor Advertising and Champaign Unit 4 School District have teamed up once again for [FRAMED]: A Unit 4 Student Artist Expo.
Now in its second year, [FRAMED] provides an outlet for the Champaign Unit 4 School District to highlight exceptional artwork created in the classroom, bringing recognition to students, teachers, and schools alike. As a result of [FRAMED], our community’s smallest and youngest creative individuals get the opportunity to interact with one of the oldest and largest forms of media. Throughout the course of the year, student artwork is displayed on Adams Outdoor’s six digital billboards around town.
“We saw great success in our first year of the [FRAMED] exhibit and are excited to once again provide this opportunity to our Unit 4 student artists,” said Stephanie Stuart, Director of Communications and Community Relations for Unit 4. “Our goal is to raise awareness of the talented arts curriculum offered in our public schools and share the accomplishments of our students with the community.”
“True creativity is the responsibility of our entire organization, and we are so proud to showcase these students’ artistic expressions,” stated Rhonda Lash, General Manager of Adams Outdoor Advertising, Champaign. “A medium is powerless without a voice, or more importantly, an idea. Outdoor has tremendous power, but if we don’t have something to say—something worth listening or paying attention to—we fail our community, our clients and ourselves. We hope that [FRAMED] not only illustrates just how unique and fun outdoor can be, but inspires the children of our community to continue pursuing their creative passions.”
Photos of the artwork on the digital billboards can also been seen on the Champaign Schools website and Adams Outdoor Champaign’s Facebook page.
